Vitamins go vogue

Some beauty products begin with in us. Like eating a variety of fruits and veggies AND getting enough water. Also a vitamin supplement, like a multi, is always helpful in case you missed something along the way. I've become a fan of exclusive products and Functionalab is just that-exclusive!

Functionalab has taken vitamins to a new level and cater their expertise to vitamin solutions that increase mental clarity, clear skin, and all over healthy and beauty. Functionalab has worked closely with beauty laboratories to come up with the best solutions for you.

They offer about 100 different products! Six categories
of Personalized Nutrition Program, Beauty Dose, Tonics, Health Drops, Health Pack & Beauty Pack, and Nutritional Supplements are what make them so unique. Functionalab literally has something for each beauty or health need.

I liked the idea of the tonics and drops the best. The tres chic goodies just launched in May 0f 2009 exclusively at Henri Bendel's in New York.

These are my flava favs

Zen
The Zen is a carefully selected mix of phytonutrients, including berry extract, passion flower, citrus aurantium, lemon balm and hawthorn designed to help promote a peaceful state of mind. Bascially with these tonics. You drink the whole bottle (only 60 ml) for your dose and it was rather tasty if I do say so myself.

Focus
The Focus drops promote alertness, clarity and memory: Helps maintain the normal brain functions that lead to mental alertness, clarity and memory retention. You just add a drop to your beverage to reap the benefits. I like the minty flavor when added to my iced tea and water.

Antiox
Antioxidant dose: A potent blend of botanical extracts that delivers the polyphenol content equivalent to 15 cups of green tea per serving! This one is great if you drink a lot of green tea but some times you don't have all day to spend run to the ladies room like me.... if you drink four cups a day. I liked that i could just add the drop to my drink. Although I have not stopped my green tea consumption!

It's not just about Topical products

Hot tea is steeped in the upper pitcher and then ice is filled in the bottom (add lemons if you wish).
Oops, I got carried away before explaining:

Tea Forte fine teas is the topic and their signature Tea-Over-Ice line has the spotlight. The two level sculpturally designed pitchers are made from hand-blown heat-resistant glass. Instead of concentrating on your green tea hand lotion, brew the yumminess in the top pitcher and then pour over ice from the bottom pitcher to Flash Ice it and server immediately! It's the proportions of hot water, tea and ice that are perfectly balanced to produce each batch.

I brewed many teas so far and was not sure if it was just in my head at first, it was not in my head, it was in my mouth. Yum!

What we put in our body is just as important as what we put on our body. But c'mon, you knew that.
Tea Forte is just as aesthetically pleasing as it is good for you. Retailers such as Origins and Crate & Barrel carry Tea Forte or you can visit their website www.teaforte.com and purchase on line.

Happy Sipping!

Yum on the run

I just received some samples of Cheff Roberts fruit leathers. Sometimes if I know I can't get a meal for a few hours I like to take a snack with me. The best part about Cheff Roberts fruit is that they are tiny enough to fit in your purse and they pack all the nutrients you need from a whole fruit. They get an A++ in my book.

The leathers come in six flavors that are either banana based or mango based. I've tried them all and they are ALL delicious. My favorite being the mango.

Chef Roberts uses organic and non-organic fruit purees, organic fruit flavors, organic spices and semi-sweet chocolate (evaporated cane juice, chocolate liquor and non-dairy cocoa butter). Certified Vegan and Kosher.
