Shop and Spa

Sometimes when new products hit the beauty cases, and you are shimmying through the department hoping that your instincts will lead you to the right new product, panic strikes and many end up purchasing the same old staple.

Beginning next year, Clarins will be rolling out a new concept of treatment rooms (or mini spas) in select Nordstrom and Bloomingdales locations. Not only will you be able to bask in a facial for $75, it will also guide you towards the correct products. There is no better way to sample a product then getting a facial! The majority of the pop up treatment rooms will be in Florida and Cali, but the Bloomies in Chestnut Hill MA and Roosevelt Field NY are among those on the East Coast agenda.

Hum your way to a relaxed state

The state is California. Relaxation is in a serene area of Malibu where best selling author Sabrina Mesko Ph.D.H has launched her private retreat. And your mind will be at ease once you find yourself there.

Often when you frantically search for the best beauty remedy to camouflage your dark circles, you may overlook the fact that beauty starts from within. Stress, lack of sleep, and an unhealthy mind can wreak havoc on your body.

Body Decoding is Sabrina's new method to semiotically decode your emotional body structure. This brings to light any emotional blocks you might have and their origin, to then work through them and bring harmony back into your life. Hence rid yourself of emotional stress!

Sabrina has a few spa's under her belt that she helped catapult into success and now she has nestled into her own. Humming Bird Retreat offers healing techniques such as Mudra hand yoga therapy and crystal singing bowls. There are many different packages to chose from by visiting www.oneononelifecoach.com

Once you are relaxed into a still state of mind, your glow will shine throuh your cheeks from within. At least that is how I feel when I leave the spa or yoga class!

Here's some juicy fat

By fat I guess I mean skinny skinny. Skinny Skinny Soaps get the glamourosly green stamp of approval. The jasmine and green tea bath salts whisked me away after an intense yoga session.

Organic body oil was nothing less then then perfect for my skins diet, that if you don't mind me saying so, was craving some extra jasmine.

and Jasmine it did get. Skinny Skinny's organic body oils are nourishing, moisturizing, and non-greasy. Hold on this is where is gets glamorous:
They are made with certified
organic ingredients. The labels are biodegradable. The bottles are recyclable. And they are of course Cruelty-free/vegan. skinnyskinny is also 100% carbon-neutral.

You can start your own skinny skinny diet at www.skinnyskinny.com

Your staycation just got more relaxing

With so much more emphasis on the stay at home vacation trend, why not incorporate a spa day in the mix? I've had the pleasure of trying out select Pevonia Botanica products. Pevonia Botanica is a higher end natural skincare brand that is the product of choice by prestigious spas worldwide.
If you are like most people these days, maybe you can't get to Canyon Ranch. So let it come to you! Pevonia has several at-home products to assist in maintaining healthy, youthful-looking skin.

I had the pleasure of experiencing some paraben-free luxury with this bio-microemulsified gel that is rich in concentrated Marine collagen and Jonquil Oil. It was by far my favoire product. The concentrate helps nourish the skin while diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. It was a tad heavy for my taste but did the job nicely and I could tell it was smoothing out my forehead by then end of the third day. Visit www.pevonia.com to browse spas in your area and the extensive selection of at home skin care.

What's more, is Pevonia products are cruelty free and packaged in an eco-friendly manner. They are also free of sodium lauryl sulfte and lanolin.
